From Highway Dhabas to India’s First Spiritual Ecosystem: The Journey of Vinod Bansal
The fresher I trained on roadside tin walls later built Satvik — and earned the trust of Cycle Pure Agarbatti.

Every entrepreneur celebrates business milestones — revenues, scale, and market share. But for me, the deepest and most enduring joy has always been something far more human: watching a young, raw mind step into your world with nothing but honest eyes, work shoulder-to-shoulder with you in the dust and heat, and eventually rise to build an empire of his own.
That is the story of Vinod Bansal.
When Vinod walked into my office years ago, he was a fresher stepping out into the unforgiving real world. He joined my marketing team as an executive. In those early days, ground marketing wasn’t drawn up on sleek digital dashboards or discussed in air-conditioned boardrooms. It was physical, demanding, and relentless.
I took him under my wing, out onto the highways, under the scorching afternoon sun. I trained him on the ground — negotiating with dhaba owners, measuring roadside tin walls, hoisting branding boards, and driving visibility along the dusty transit arteries of India where real people stopped, ate, and looked around. We didn’t just install boards; we studied the pulse of the common man.
That highway chapter is also told in Part 6 — SU-KAM Dhaba Boards, where Vinod later led board installations nationwide.
Vinod never flinched. He didn’t complain about the exhaustion, the travel, or the grime on his hands. He listened, absorbed, and owned every challenge as if the business were his own.
Through sheer grit, unmatched work ethic, and relentless hunger to learn, he didn’t stay an executive for long. Step by step, project by project, he proved himself until he rose to become the Head of Board Installations across all of India. Managing an outdoor branding footprint at a national scale is a massive, complex logistical feat — and Vinod commanded it with absolute dedication, integrity, and operational mastery.
To watch a boy you trained on roadside walls mature into a leader running nationwide field operations was an incredible privilege. But his story didn’t stop there.

The Audacity to Organise Faith
The same grit Vinod displayed on the highways became the foundation of his entrepreneurial journey. He saw a massive, chaotic, and unorganised space close to every Indian heart: the spiritual and puja marketplace. It was fragmented, riddled with counterfeit goods, and lacking a trusted nationwide identity.
Vinod set out to change that with Satvik Spirituals Private Limited, pioneering what is today India’s first and only complete Spiritual Ecosystem:
- Satvik Store — India’s premier destination for genuine, high-quality puja samagri, temple essentials, and festive brassware.
- ePuja by Satvik — enabling devotees around the globe to participate in authentic temple rituals through digital puja bookings.
- RudraPure — restoring faith in sacred relics by providing 100% certified, lab-tested Rudraksha.
- Astro by Satvik — a verified digital platform connecting seekers with genuine astrological guidance.
He didn’t just create another retail brand; he built a bridge between sacred age-old traditions and modern consumer trust.
Winning the Trust of a Titan
True character reveals itself when legacy institutions take notice. Satvik’s disciplined growth and clean operational backbone earned the backing of N. Ranga Rao & Sons (NRRS), the makers of Cycle Pure Agarbatti — the world’s largest agarbatti manufacturer.
Today, NRRS stands as Satvik’s primary strategic partner and investor. Vinod continues to lead at the helm as Founder & Managing Director, commanding an annual salary of ₹1 Crore while proudly holding a 49% equity stake in the company he built from scratch.
To see a heritage conglomerate with over 75 years of leadership place their complete faith in a first-generation founder — giving him the runway to steer the vision forward — is the ultimate proof of who Vinod is at his core.

A Mentor’s Reflection
People often ask what it takes to build something meaningful from nothing. I always point to Vinod:
- He never forgot the ground. He didn’t try to become an executive who detached himself from reality. He mastered the ground first, learned what moves everyday people, and applied that grassroots instinct to building a nationwide brand.
- He had the patience to master the craft. He didn’t jump ship chasing shortcuts. He put in the years, absorbed every lesson from the bottom up, and turned operational hardship into his greatest strength.
- He held on to his values. Even while commanding boardrooms and closing major corporate partnerships, his humility, reverence, and hunger remain exactly as genuine as the day he joined my team.
As a mentor, there are moments in life where words fall short of the pride in your chest. Seeing Vinod evolve from an eager executive climbing scaffolding on highway dhabas to a visionary founder shaping India’s spiritual landscape is one of those moments.
Vinod, you have walked a path carved out of pure sweat, courage, and integrity. Keep leading, keep shining, and keep making us proud.
