“Today, I had the occasion to visit the bustling New Delhi Railway Station for a personal journey. I’ll be honest, in the past, one of my main concerns about this major transportation hub was always the cleanliness, particularly on the tracks. So, I was genuinely surprised by what I encountered today.
The tracks, which I had always associated with litter and grime, were noticeably cleaner.

It was
Beyond the tracks, I also observed that all the escalators were working, and the lifts were operational. In a station that handles such an immense volume of people daily, these functional amenities make a significant difference in the overall passenger experience.
It’s truly remarkable how the station management is handling such a massive crowd and still managing to maintain a level of cleanliness. As someone who understands the challenges of public spaces in India, with people coming from diverse backgrounds and varying levels of awareness about cleanliness, this improvement was really worth appreciating.
It’s also hard not to notice the evolution of the trains themselves. While the Shatabdi Express has been a familiar sight for years, the newer Vande Bharat trains are a testament to progress. These trains are not only fast but also the time saving and clean trains always before time.
My experience today at the New Delhi Railway Station left me with a positive feeling. It seems that India is indeed changing, and these improvements, even in something as fundamental as cleanliness at a major railway station, are tangible signs of that progress.”
