From Entrepreneur to Innovator
The Life and Times of Kunwwer Sachdev
“From the very beginning, my vision for Su-Kam was simple: to bring reliable and innovative power solutions to every home and business in India. I saw the challenges our nation faced with power outages, and I knew we could do better. It wasn’t just about building a company; it was about building a solution, a dependable source of energy that would empower people and drive progress.
I believe in the power of innovation, and I’ve always encouraged our team to push boundaries, to explore new technologies, and to never settle for the status quo. That commitment to research and development is what allowed Su-Kam to become a leader in the power backup industry.
However, the journey of entrepreneurship is never without its trials. Like many businesses, Su-Kam faced unforeseen challenges, including a period of financial hardship that ultimately led to bankruptcy. This was a profoundly difficult time, but it also served as a powerful lesson. It reinforced the importance of resilience, adaptability, and the unwavering support of those around you.
With the strength and unwavering support of my wife, Khushboo Sachdev, we faced these challenges head-on. Together, we embarked on a new chapter, founding Su-vastika. This new venture embodies the same spirit of innovation and dedication to quality that drove Su-Kam, while also incorporating the valuable lessons learned.
We are committed to building Su-vastika into a company that not only provides cutting-edge power solutions but also embodies the values of integrity, transparency, and a deep commitment to our customers. We are determined to prove that setbacks are not final, and that with passion and perseverance, new beginnings are always possible. We are excited to continue this journey, powering a brighter future for India.”
In Rashmi Bansal’s “Connect the Dots,” Sachdev’s entrepreneurial journey is detailed. The book delves into his innovative approach to the inverter industry, which led to the establishment of Su-Kam. Bansal highlights how Sachdev’s vision and determination played an important role in revolutionizing how Indians accessed and utilized electricity.
