How Hospital X is Leading the Way in Clean Energy with Lithium

Arihant Hospital in India has committed to clean energy by installing a lithium battery system to replace the 125 KVA Diesel generator with a 50 KVA Lithium battery Inverter System. This is the first hospital in India to do so, and it sets a new standard for sustainability in the healthcare industry. This hospital is located in new Gurgaon and is run by the duo Dr Shalini Jain and her husband, the child specialist. https://maps.app.goo.gl/nbApsaxfLwqCjLN69

As per Dr Shalini Jain, the cost of running the diesel generator was approximately 3Rs 30,000 to 40,000 per month, and the major challenge was that whenever they had to operate, they had first to make sure that the generator was switched on. Then they used to perform any operation. But with this lithium battery system, they do not know if there is any power failure. The lithium battery system will provide the hospital with reliable and clean power while reducing emissions and saving money. The system can also provide backup power in the event of an outage, ensuring that the hospital can continue operating even during a power failure.

The Asian Clean Energy Forum has strongly studied replacing Diesel generators with Lithium battery banks https://asiacleanenergyforum.adb.org/side-event-diesel-generator-replacement-with-lithium-ion-batteries/.

The installation of Su-vastika’s lithium battery system is part of the hospital’s broader commitment to sustainability. The hospital has also implemented several other initiatives to reduce its environmental impact, such as energy efficiency measures and water conservation practices.

The hospital’s switch to clean energy is a significant step forward for sustainability in the healthcare industry. Hospitals are major consumers of energy, and their operations can have a significant impact on the environment. By switching to clean energy, hospitals can reduce their emissions, save money, and improve the health of their patients and communities.

Benefits of the lithium battery system

The lithium battery system has several benefits for the hospital, including:

Safety of Sensitive Medical Equipment: This was one of the major challenges faced by the hospital as they had a lot of incidents of failure of sensitive medical equipment where repairs were required. The lift in the hospital used to stop with a jerk when power outages happened, and now we haven’t come to know of any power outages, and the lift is working smoothly on the power cuts.

The Switching Time: This is another big factor. As the power goes or comes back, all the sensitive equipment or normal air conditioners and lights keep working uninterruptedly. In the case of a generator, one has to wait for the diesel generator to switch on and off manually. One dedicated person was involved in getting the diesel from the petrol pump and keeping an eye on a generator whose fuel needed to be refilled.

  • Reduced emissions: The lithium battery system will reduce the hospital’s emissions of air pollutants, such as particulate matter and nitrogen oxides. These air pollutants can harm human health, particularly for people with respiratory conditions.
  • Saved money: The lithium battery system is more efficient than a diesel generator, so the hospital will save on fuel costs. The approximate yearly cost saving is 3.6 lakh a year. In 10 years, the cost savings will be more than 40 lakh, including the maintenance cost of the generator, as the fuel and maintenance costs are increasing every year, and the carbon credits hospital will be getting extra.
  • Improved reliability: The lithium battery system is a more reliable power source than a diesel generator. This is especially important for hospitals, which need a reliable power source to operate critical medical equipment.
  • Reduced noise pollution: The lithium battery system is much quieter than a diesel generator so that it will reduce noise pollution for the hospital’s patients and staff.https://suvastika.com/diesel-generator-vs-battery-energy-storage-system/

Commitment to sustainability

The Arihant Hospital’s commitment to sustainability is evident in its switch to clean energy and other initiatives to reduce its environmental impact. The hospital aims to become a carbon-neutral facility within the next five years.https://youtu.be/FeB3k9j9CBU?si=P9eroR7CvXlQiIb_

The hospital’s commitment to sustainability is inspiring other hospitals to follow suit. More and more hospitals are recognizing the need to reduce their environmental impact and are looking for ways to do so. The hospital’s switch to clean energy is a model for other hospitals looking to become more sustainable.

Conclusion

The Arihant Hospital’s commitment to clean energy is a significant step forward for sustainability in the healthcare industry. By switching to clean energy, the hospital is reducing its emissions, saving money, and improving the health of its patients and communities. The  Arihant Hospital’s example inspires other hospitals to follow suit, and it is helping to create a more sustainable future for the healthcare industry.

Get to Know the New Su-vastika Lithium Battery Wall Mount Model

Get to Know the New Su-vastika Lithium Battery Wall Mount Model

Su-vastika Unveils New Lithium Battery Wall Mount 12.8V/80 Ah having 1 KWh capacity Model. Get to Know the New Su-vastika Lithium Battery Wall Mount Model This 1KWh  Lithium battery can be mounted on the wall, which can be a big space-saving and cost-saving for the user as real estate is getting expensive since there are no fumes or water toppings. It has the safety MCB and can be switched on and off if you don’t want to use it. It comes with the Anderson connector, which ensures that the installation Engineer does not make mistakes while installing the Lithium battery. The lithium battery is of LifePo4 chemistry, the safest proven technology in the world for the last three decades, and has been used in all kinds of usage like electric vehicles, mobile phones, drones, etc.

The benefits of Lithium batteries over living Tubular Lead Acid batteries are:

Longer lifespan: The lithium battery will last 7 to 10 years compared to the Tubular battery, which will not last more than three years.

Higher energy density: The size of the Tubular lead Acid battery and the size of the Lithium battery is beyond anyone’s imagination. The 150Ah Tubular battery is more than 60 KGs. The Lithium is just 10, which is easy for any person to take in hand and can install or remove, whereas the Tubular battery needs two people to handle, and if it is to be installed at the floor level, then you need extra labour to do the same.

Faster charging: The tubular lead acid takes 12 to 15 hours to charge completely, while a lithium battery is charged within 3 to 4 hours.

No maintenance: There is no maintenance required in Lithium batteries, and for Tubular batteries, regular refilling of water is required, which is very tough for any consumer himself as you need a service engineer who can do it only so extra money is shelled out in the maintenance of the tubular battery.

Get to Know the New Su-vastika Lithium Battery Wall Mount Model

Price: The difference in pricing is very nominal these days as Lithium prices worldwide are falling, but the lead prices are mostly increasing every year, and if we consider all the factors, then we realize lithium battery price is lower than the Tubular battery price of 150 and 200 Ah capacity.

As a result of these advantages, lithium inverters are becoming increasingly popular for use in homes and offices for the Inverter/UPS, solar power systems, off-grid systems, and other applications where long battery life and high performance are important. The model 1024Wh battery can be compared with any existing Tubular battery of 150Ah capacity.

As we compare the two batteries in the capacity, we can see the backup time on 400W bulb load, which is equivalent, and if we test on 500W or more load, then the Lithium battery of 1024Wh will give higher backups. The Lithium battery comes with a C1 rating, and the Tubular battery comes with a C20 rating, used in the Inverter industry. Since the lithium battery has a C1 capacity, it’s designed to run higher loads. In contrast, the C20 tubular lead Acid battery is designed to run smaller loads as C20 means capacity divided by 20, say 150/20= 7.5Amps only, which means it’s designed for 100 Watt load if we want five years of life from this battery and can utilize 95% of its capacity. But the moment we put more load than that, the life and efficiency of the tubular battery are affected drastically. As the dealer and user do not understand the Tubular Lead Acid battery of c20 capacity, they use the Lead Acid battery for drawing 500Watt to 800 Watt load, which reduces the backup time and life of the Tubular battery as the Tubular battery backup will drop drastically and life as well. Meanwhile, the lithium battery has C1 capacity and can be used for higher loads; its efficiency and capacity do not degrade.

Get to Know the New Su-vastika Lithium Battery Wall Mount Model

The lithium battery is cheaper than the tubular battery as its life is three times longer, and its capacity is more than the tubular battery if you compare the backup time of 500 watts and more.

Here are some of the benefits of using a lithium inverter:

Longer battery life: Lithium batteries have a lifespan of up to 3 times longer than lead-acid batteries. This means you can get more use out of your battery before it needs replacing.

Higher energy density: Lithium batteries store more energy per unit volume than lead-acid batteries. This means you can get more power from a smaller battery, which can be a big advantage in space-limited applications.

Faster charging: Lithium batteries can be charged more quickly than lead-acid batteries. This means you can get your battery back up to full power more quickly after it has been discharged.

No maintenance: Lithium batteries require no maintenance compared to tubular lead-acid batteries. As everyone knows, water topping is one of the major headaches in tubular lead acid batteries, and spillage is another challenge that permanently ruins the floor of the house. Getting the distilled quality water from the market is another challenge.

The Lithium battery 12.8V/80 Ah is more powerful than the 150Ah Tubular Lead Acid battery.

In India, the highest selling model in the tubular battery is 150Ah, having C20 capacity, and the same can be replaced by the 12.8V/80Ah battery, which comes to 1024Wh battery capacity, which can provide more backup if we use a 500-watt load or more than that load compare to the 150Ah Tubular battery.

The life of the Tubular battery started reducing as we put more load on the Tubular battery as it’s designed for smaller loads only. At the same time, the lithium battery life is not affected till we put a 1000-watt load on it.

Choosing the Right Battery: 2.4 KW Lithium vs Lead Acid Battery

TECHNOLOGY BLOGS

A 2.4 KW lithium battery can be compared with two tubular batteries of 150 or 200 Ah capacity. So, the 2.4KW Lithium battery will provide higher backup than the Tubular Lead Acid batteries of 150Ah or 200Ah, having a C20 capacity of two numbers. So having a 24Volt or Solar Inverter System with a 200 Ah bank of two batteries will give less backup compared to the 2.4KW Lithium battery bank size of LifePO4 or any other Chemistry. Choosing the Right Battery: 2.4 KW Lithium vs Lead Acid Battery

  • Advantages:
    • High energy density: Lithium batteries have a higher energy density than tubular batteries, which can store more energy in a smaller, lighter package. Especially in the Solar Hybrid System, the size matters a lot as the space is very limited, and this battery can be installed with the Solar Inverter in a smaller space.
    • Long lifespan: Lithium batteries have a much longer lifespan than tubular Lead Acid batteries, typically lasting 7-10 years or more, as the tubular battery hardly lasts for three years. Especially in Solar Hybrid Systems, the tubular battery’s life is further reduced. The cycle life of tubular lead acid batteries is 500, while the Lithiunm LifePO4 battery has around 2000 cycles, creating a major difference. The life cycle of a tubular lead acid battery will depend on its maintenance, like refilling the battery water in time, which is the biggest challenge in maintaining the tubular battery. Meanwhile, the lithium battery requires no such maintenance.
    • Fast charging: Lithium batteries can be much faster than tubular batteries, typically in 2-3 hours. For the Solar application, the timings are very important as the Tubular battery takes 12 to 15 hours to charge properly as it needs to charge in 3 stages minimum. Some people install a higher capacity solar charge controller to install more solar panels in the Solar PCU, which charges the Lead Acid battery very fast. The Tubular battery needs more watering, and the batteries also explode in case of fast charging. Lithium batteries can be charged in 2 hours and installed with more solar panels.
    • Deep discharge tolerance: Lithium batteries can be discharged much deeper than tubular batteries without damaging them.
    • Low self-discharge rate: Lithium batteries are very low, meaning they can hold their charge for much longer when unused.
  • Disadvantages:
    • Charger Parameters: Lithium batteries require a very different charger than the Tubular Lead Acid battery charger, and the charger designed for the Lithium battery will only make the life of the Lithium battery; otherwise life of the Lithium battery will be affected.
    • Narrower operating temperature range: Lithium batteries have a narrower operating temperature range than tubular batteries and may not perform as well in extreme temperatures.

Choosing the Right Battery: 2.4 KW Lithium vs Lead Acid Battery

Tubular Battery

  • Advantages:
    • Lower upfront cost: Tubular batteries are less expensive to purchase upfront than lithium batteries.
    • Wider operating temperature range: Tubular batteries are wider than lithium batteries and can perform better in extreme temperatures.
  • Disadvantages:
    • Lower energy density: Tubular batteries have a lower energy density than lithium batteries, which can store less energy in a larger and heavier package.
    • Shorter lifespan: Tubular batteries have a shorter lifespan than lithium batteries, typically lasting 2-3 years. Especially in solar applications, the life is further reduced.
    • Slower charging: Tubular batteries take longer than lithium batteries, typically 15-20 hours.
    • Less tolerant of deep discharge: Tubular batteries should not be discharged to more than 50% of their capacity, or they will be damaged.
    • Higher self-discharge rate: Tubular batteries have a higher rate than lithium batteries, meaning they will lose their charge more quickly when not in use.

Choosing the Right Battery: 2.4 KW Lithium vs Lead Acid Battery

Overall

Lithium batteries offer several advantages over tubular batteries, including higher energy density, longer lifespan, faster charging, deeper discharge tolerance, and lower self-discharge rate. However, they are also more expensive to purchase upfront. Tubular batteries are less expensive upfront and have a wider operating temperature range. However, they also have a shorter lifespan, slower charging times, and are less tolerant of deep discharge.https://suvastika.com/is-lithium-battery-good-for-inverter-ups/

Which type of battery is right for you will depend on your specific needs and budget. A lithium battery is a good choice if you want a battery with a long lifespan, fast charging times, and deep discharge tolerance. A tubular battery may be a better option if you are on a tighter budget or need a battery that can operate in extreme temperatures.

3 Phase 10KVA Lift Inverter: A Comprehensive Guide

A 10KVA 3-phase lift inverter is a device that converts AC power to DC power when the power is available to charge the Lift Inverter battery bank, and it converts DC to AC power when the power fails to power the Lift load from the battery bank. It provides backup power for elevators in the event of a power outage. The Lift inverter is also called an Emergency Rescue device ERD.https://suvastika.com/the-benefits-of-lift-inverters-erd-for-buildings-and-owners/

10KVA 3-phase lift inverters are typically used for elevators with a capacity of 8 to 10 passengers. They are designed to provide a smooth and reliable power supply to the elevator, even during heavy loads. Generally, the capacity of the lift motor is 3 to 4.8 KW in these capacity lifts. Nowadays, the Lift Inverters come with a Lithium battery to save space and increase the life of the Lithium battery to 10 years rather than using. Lead Acid SMF battery has a maximum life of only two years. There is a difference between Online UPS and Lift Inverters called ERD, as Online UPS technology differs greatly from the Lift inverters. Most companies offer Online UPS, which is not meant for the lift application. Online UPS will have failures more often in the Lift application, and the power bill increase and the backup time will be the next challenge.

Lift Inverter/ERD with lithium battery

Lift Inverter/ERD with a lithium battery.

Some of the features of 10KVA 3-phase lift inverters include:

Pure sine wave output for efficient operation of the elevator motor or Lift motor and system.
High surge capacity to handle the starting load of the elevator motors and other loads attached to the Lift system.
Low battery cut-off protects the batteries from over-discharge and overcharge cut-off feature to protect the batteries from overcharging.
Automatic transfer switch to seamlessly switch between mains and inverter power, which is a very important factor to select as there should not be any jerk when the main power fails and comes back.
Overload and Short circuit protection to prevent damage to the 3-phase Lift inverter.

The IOT feature monitors the Lift Inverter on Bluetooth and WiFi-based systems on the phone and computer to check the power failure log and the alerts to be stored in the application.
10KVA 3-phase lift inverters are available from various manufacturers along with the battery bank in 1.5 Lakhs to 2 Lakhs of Indian Rupees.

3 Phase 10KVA Lift Inverter: A Comprehensive Guide

Here are some of the benefits of using a 10KVA 3-phase lift inverter:

Reliable backup power: A lift inverter provides a reliable source of backup power for elevators in the event of a power outage. This ensures that passengers can still use the elevator safely and conveniently.
Reduced costs: A lift inverter can help to reduce the costs associated with elevator downtime. When an elevator is down, it can be expensive to repair and can disrupt business operations. A lift inverter can help to prevent these problems by providing a backup power supply.
Improved safety: A lift inverter can help improve elevators’ safety by providing a smooth and reliable power supply. This can help to prevent accidents caused by power surges or fluctuations.

Many people have a phobia about travelling in Lifts as they have encountered Lifts being stopped midway with a high jerk, and they get panic attacks during that stoppage for 30 seconds to 1 minute; there is no light, and in the darkness, they get panic attacks.

If you are considering installing a lift inverter in your building, there are a few things you should keep in mind:

Choose the right size inverter: The size of the inverter you need will depend on the capacity of your elevator. It is important to choose an inverter that is large enough to handle the starting load and running load of the elevator motor.
Consider the features you need: Some lift inverters offer additional features, such as remote monitoring and alarm capabilities. Consider which features are important to you and choose an inverter with them.
Have the inverter installed by a qualified technician: Lift inverters are complex devices and should only be installed by a qualified technician. This will ensure that the inverter is installed correctly and safely. The earthing of the inverter is another aspect that is to be taken care of by a qualified engineer while installing the lift inverter machine

Lift Inverter vs Online UPS for Lift Backup: A Detailed Comparison

Lift Inverter, Lift Inverter vs Online UPS for Lift Backup: A Detailed Comparison

  • Converts AC power from the mains to DC power and then back to AC power, but only when the mains power fails—also, converter AC to DC power for charging the battery when mains power is present.
  • This means there is no switching delay when the mains power fails, but the lift will continue to operate smoothly without any jerk or interruption.
  • Lift inverters are typically more efficient than online UPSs, as they only convert power when needed. This saves a lot of power compared to the Online UPS as Online UPS continues to draw extra power when Mains is present for converting it into AC to DC and then AC again.
  • Lift inverters are also typically more compact and lightweight than online UPSs.https://www.kunwersachdev.com/thoughts/personal/lift-inverter-as-a-power-backup/11/
  • Lift Inverters nowadays, called Emergency rescue Devices, have the option of working on a Lithium battery and can provide a backup time of up to 3 days. They can replace Generators and can save pollution.
  • The lift Inverter or ERD can run on Solar power to save the grid power and make the environment green.
  • The IOT feature enables the control of the Lift Inverter through Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GSm to control and monitor the parameters of the Lift Inverter/ERD and control them remotely through the mobile application.

lift Inverter

Online UPS

  • Converts AC power from the mains to DC power and then back to AC power continuously, even when the mains power is available.
  • This means that the lift always operates on clean, regulated DC power, regardless of the quality of the main power.
  • Online UPSs have no switching delay, so there is no jerk or interruption when the mains power fails.
  • Online UPSs are typically less efficient than lift inverters, as they constantly convert power.
  • Online UPSs are also typically larger and heavier than lift inverters.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uninterruptible_power_supply

Comparison of Lift Inverter and Online UPS for lift back up

Feature Lift Inverter Online UPS
Switching delay when mains power fails No switching delay No
Efficiency More efficient Less efficient
Size and weight More compact and lightweight Larger and heavier
back up time can be extended up to 3 days very limited by Lead Acid battery size

Which one is better for lifting back up?

It depends on the specific requirements of the lift installation. If the lift is in a critical location, such as a hospital or a high-rise building, an online UPS may be the better choice, as it will provide the most reliable and uninterrupted power supply. However, a lift inverter may be a better option if the lift is in a less critical location or if cost is a major factor.

Additional considerations

  • Lithium batteries: Lift inverters can be powered by lithium batteries, which are more efficient and have a longer lifespan than traditional lead-acid batteries.
  • Remote monitoring: Some lift inverters and online UPSs offer remote monitoring capabilities, which can be useful for monitoring the system’s health and receiving alerts in case of problems.
  • Warranty: Some lift inverters and online UPSs offer longer warranties than others.

Conclusion

Both lift inverters and online UPSs can provide reliable backup power for lifts. The best option for a particular installation will depend on the lift’s specific requirements and the available budget.

They convert DC power from batteries into AC power that can be used to operate the lift motor or escalator and other electrical components of the lifts and escalators when the main power goes off. The lift Inverter charges the battery by converting AC to DC when the Mains Power is available.Lift inverters are essential for ensuring that lifts and Escalators remain operational during a power outage.https://www.kunwersachdev.com/uncategorized/whats-lift-inverter/02/

The new Lift Inverters are called Lift UPS or Emergency Rescue Device as they have the other controls where the switching time of the lift and remote monitoring and Electronic Control Unit in the lift car can be installed for the passenger’s convenience. These new kind of Lift Inverters or ERD can be installed with the latest Lithium technology rather than Lead Acid battery backup.

Here are some of the benefits of using lift inverters or ERD as a backup for lifts and Escalators:

  • Ensured safety: Lift inverters ensure that lifts remain operational during a power outage. This prevents people from becoming trapped in lifts, which can be dangerous and people traveling on Lifts and Escalators don’t even come to know that there is a power failure as continuous power is supplied by the battery in case of power failure.
  • Reduced downtime: Lift inverters allow lifts to continue operating during a power outage, which helps to reduce downtime. This is important for businesses, hospitals, and other facilities that rely on lifts for essential services as the Automatic Rescue Device which is the prevalent technology in lifts always stops the lift and bring the user to the nearest floor to rescue and than takes 5 minutes to reset after the power is restored which is a big wastage of time and for user this is a nightmare.
  • Reduced maintenance costs: By installing these Lift Inverters and ERD the maintenance of lifts or Escalators reduced to 20% as the lifts or Escalators generally down for the maintenance because of power failures as the Electronics of the lifts is sensitive to the power breaks.
  • Environmentally friendly: Lift inverters do not produce emissions, unlike diesel generators. This makes them a more environmentally friendly option for providing lift and Escalators backup power and can provide power up to 3 days or as per the battery bank sizing.
  • Compact size: Lift inverters are compact so that they can be installed in various locations. This makes them ideal for use in buildings with limited space and Lithium battery makes them more compact and light weight to be kept in a small corner of the lift room or any where ever small space is available and do not create any vibration which is the major challenge with the generators.
  • Solar Compatible: The lift Inverters or ERD are having the compatibility to run on solar power as well so that where ever there is no power the lifts or Escalators can run on Solar Power or to reduce the power bill for running the lifts in a building.
  • IOT based monitoring : Now a days lift Inverters or ERD comes with the WiFi and GSM based monitoring system having mobile apps and can be monitored and controlled from any corner of the world.

Lift inverters are available in various sizes and capacities to suit the needs of different lifts. They can provide backup power for passenger, freight, and wheelchair lifts. Lift inverters are typically installed in the lift machine room or a separate enclosure near the lift shaft.https://suvastika.com/review-of-lift-inverter-lift-ups-erd/

When selecting a lift inverter, it is important to consider the following factors:

  • The size and capacity of the lift motor.
  • The number of lifts that need to be backed up.
  • The desired backup time.
  • The available space for installation.
  • The budget.

It is also important to select a lift inverter that is made by the company which has the experience and expertise to make lit backup units as this is not an ordinary small UPS and has 3 Phase power Input and 3 Phase Power Output. The  Lift Inverter as a power backup for lifts and Escalators is a reliable technology that has been used for more than a decade now.

Lift inverters are a reliable and cost-effective way to provide lift backup power. They are an essential safety feature for any building that has lifts. In India few States have made it compulsory to install in the lifts in High rise buildings as a safety measure.

Exports: If the company is into exports, then having technology patents help a lot in exports, as outside India, the international players always use the patent to their advantage and can block the Customer from entering the country by registering their patents in that particular country.
Incentives by Govt of India when you receive the technology patent: There are financial incentives declared by the central govt and a few state Govt on top of the major financial grant in case you can get the patent granted from the Indian Patent office.https://ipindia.gov.in/writereaddata/images/pdf/startups_IPRFacilitation_22April2016.pdf

Ranking with international companies: If one gets a patent granted in any field, the company’s status gets elevated, and similar global companies start respecting the company in India.
Safety from legal cases by international companies: Nowadays, when you create a business in India and doing well, then suddenly International company comes and file a lawsuit against your company regarding the technology patent, which is very tough to fight as there are hardly any patent is filed in India. This can lead to damages or the business being destroyed overnight for Indian companies.
Can do business with peace: If the company has filed a technology patent, then the company can work in harmony from outside pressure.
Can Licence the technology: Nowadays, the company can sell the right to manufacture the product under licence to other companies and can make money.
In Govt tenders, one can be a single vendor: In India, the Central Govt and state govt have given the provision where one can be a single vendor in a tender, and the Purchase committee can award the contract to the single vendor in case of having technology patent by the Indian Patent Office.
Trust is created in the Customer’s mind: with Customer’s trust in buying the product from a company, a technology patent increases.https://suvastika.com/technology-patent-in-india-by-su-vastika-in-pure-sinewave-ups-inverter-battery-inverter-erdess/

How to select the salesperson for my company

How do I select the salesperson for my company? This is a very tough question to answer as most startups or existing companies in any field suffer the most because of a shortage of salespeople, as the turnover in salespersons is the highest in any company. Experienced salespeople get jobs very fast, and the competition is always ready to pick them up as they know the market well and have a relationship with dealers and distributors.

So, this challenge can be divided into two parts: hiring fresh salespeople without experience and hiring experienced salespeople from the same or some other industry.

  1. If we are hiring fresh salespeople, we need a very strong training team and a motivation team, which will train them continuously while hiring and after hiring for at least one year to handhold them.
  2.  If we are hiring experienced people in the company, another challenge is assimilating them into our company culture and getting the best output.

So let us start with fresh hiring individuals and what we should see while hiring:

  1. Define the ideal candidate profile. What are the essential skills and qualities you are looking for in a salesperson? Consider factors such as:

    • His family background: If we ask relevant questions about his family and can make out whether there has been any struggle he has faced or by his family and how they solved it, people from struggling backgrounds can always perform better compared to people from comfortable backgrounds. This could also be wrong, but this is largely true as the sales career is struggling, and academics hardly play any role. The MBA can be better if he has done an MBA after the sales experience; otherwise, hiring MBAs without experience does not make much difference.
    • Shy or outgoing: In the interview questioning, one has to make sure whether the candidate is shy or outgoing, which plays an important role in the sales job.
    • Problem-solving skills: It is very tough to determine whether they are problem solvers as this will ultimately be important to promote a person to the manager level. Some people have five solutions to the problem you throw at them, and few people can’t answer any given problem. Also, what kind of challenges he has gone through, personal and professional and how they solved them. This is a very important point in the interview to understand.
    • Have they played any Sports? This is another important point, and generally, people who have played sports have better discipline and passion for winning, and they know how to lose in life, and that’s very important as this becomes their nature. Generally, sports-playing guys become better sales and later become good managers and leaders.
    • Ability to build relationships: This is also important to understand through his social profile, and one should focus on this point by interviewing him personally.
    • Positive attitude. Attitude is the most critical factor in deciding about the person, and this also can be seen on their social profile during the interview; one should focus on questions to judge their attitude.
    • Do they have a learning attitude? This is another important parameter in an interview to learn about the candidate’s habit of learning new things about any subject they are interested in. How to select the salesperson for my company is the statement here to follow.
  2. Write a job description. The job description should clearly outline the responsibilities and expectations of the role. It should also highlight the skills and qualities you seek in a candidate. https://www.pipedrive.com/en/blog/8-steps-finding-perfect-salesperson-team

  3. Use a variety of channels to recruit candidates. This could include online job boards, social media, employee referrals, and networking events from friend’s referrals.

  4. Screen candidates carefully. This may involve reviewing resumes, conducting phone interviews, and scheduling in-person interviews.

  5. Ask the right questions during the interview. Your questions should be designed to assess the candidate’s skills, experience, and fit for the role.

  6. Online Social media check. Nowadays, one has a social media profile, so one has to see it carefully and assess the candidate through this, as one can get a better idea through Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.

  7. Give him role clarity. Role clarity is the most important before hiring and what is expected from them.

  8. Onboard your new salesperson. Once your new salesperson is onboarded, it’s important to provide them with the training and support they need to be successful. This could include training on your products or services, sales techniques, and the company culture.https://www.kunwersachdev.com/uncategorized/6-catastrophic-mistakes-made-by-hr-departments-while-hiring-individuals/17/

  9. Now the next comes is experienced Sales people who already have work experience.

  10. This is more challenging than recruiting the fresh ones as they are experienced and knowledgeable and can easily fool the interviewer.
  11. So, the important point for them is to have a different set of standards to follow:
  12. Curriculum Vitae: The first step is to screen through their CV, and the first is stability. If the resume is unstable, one should not call for an interview. Whenever I made this mistake, I always got the same result: These people don’t stick anywhere, and they become so good in interviews that you get convinced to hire them.
  13. Background check through social media screening and reference is the most important criterion with the experienced people. If possible one can check the reference through the customers, he or she has dealt with so that we are doubly sure about his style of working.
  14. Sport is another common criterion.
  15. Job description and clarity for results are more important here as they know how to change the job profile once recruited. They understand the company politics much faster and can be part of it quickly, as recruits generally don’t fall prey to it.
  16. Training for experienced candidates is tough as they rely more on their earlier experience, and we need to adopt a separate method. So, assimilating them into the company culture without bringing their work culture into the organization can be tougher for any HR professional.
  17. For taking Interviews, I feel that people in HR should have a different set of experienced people when the experienced salespeople are being interviewed, and this serves a double purpose as these guys feel more confident to join the organization if senior management is sitting and taking their interview. It is easier for senior management to select the right candidate.
  18. Having an MBA as a qualification can be considered as it helps the company bring experienced guys with the degree.

How to select the salesperson for my company is a very interesting topic, and following these tips can increase your chances of selecting the right sales guy for your company.

Here are some additional tips:

  • Look for candidates who have a proven track record of success in sales and validate that by whatever means possible.
  • Consider candidates who are consistent in nature so that we don’t waste company resources on them.
  • Look for candidates who are sports people if possible and check his family background as well.
  • Choose candidates who are a good fit for your company culture.

The right sales guy can be a valuable asset to your company. By taking the time to select the right person, you can improve your chances of success. I hope this article, How to select the salesperson for my company, will help you select the sales candidate.
