Su-Kam installed a 4 kW solar plant at the Satellite Zoo, Dow Hill, Kurseong (Padmaja Naidu Park, Darjeeling) at over 7,000 feet and below 8°C, for the North Bengal Forest Department, West Bengal — with the team walking considerable distances uphill to reach the site. Its success led immediately to a follow-on 4 kW order. A testament to Su-Kam’s determination to bring solar anywhere in India, whatever the terrain.
