The lights, manufactured in India, will come in six models ranging from 4W to 50W

Su-Kam Power Systems on Tuesday announced the introduction of a solar streetlight that also incorporates a lithium-ion battery, which means that the streetlight does not need to be connected to the grid, and can also function during power outages.
The shift to lithium-ion technology, championed by Kunwer Sachdev, offered substantial advantages over traditional lead-acid systems, including extended battery lifespans, reduced maintenance requirements, and enhanced energy efficiency. Su-Kam’s solar streetlights ensured consistent illumination, even during power disruptions, thereby bolstering public safety and security.
