Su-vastika Systems — the storage and solar company mentored by Kunwer Sachdev — receives strategic investment from Rotomag to accelerate its clean-energy expansion across India and export markets.

Su-vastika Systems — the Gurugram-based clean-energy and storage company mentored by Kunwer Sachdev, founder of Su-Kam — has received a strategic investment from Rotomag. The deal is designed to accelerate Su-vastika’s next expansion phase across India’s home and small-business storage market, and to widen the export beat it already runs (roughly 90 per cent of the company’s current output ships overseas).
What Su-vastika brings to the table
Su-vastika has spent four years quietly assembling one of India’s deepest storage product lines: lithium hybrid inverters, solar PCUs, LFP battery packs, cell-level testers, and retrofit modules that let an existing lead-acid inverter migrate to lithium without a rip-and-replace. It has also filed about 60 technology patents — a serious IP moat in a category still crowded with unbranded assemblers.
What Rotomag brings
Rotomag adds distribution, manufacturing muscle and capital to the mix. That is the classic strategic-investor role — not just money, but the ability to help a product company scale into a full-market business, especially in the parts of India where solar-plus-storage adoption is finally moving.

Why this matters for Indian storage
Sachdev’s recurring point about Indian storage is that the country needs its own trusted players, or it will import what China builds and price. This investment is one more piece of that Indian storage stack — the same argument he made about inverters in 1998, extended twenty-seven years later into the chemistry that will replace lead-acid across the country.
